Oral (Non-IV) Conscious Sedation

If dental procedures cause fear or anxiety in you, there are options.

Oral conscious sedation is easy, it is as simple as taking an aspirin and you will feel relaxed. Oral conscious sedation does not put you to sleep. You will remain awake, but you will be in a state of relaxation. It is also possible that you will not remember your procedure.

Oral conscious sedation is safe. It is much less expensive than other forms of sedation, and you will be able to talk and breathe on your own during the procedure. Long or complex procedures will seem shorter, allowing you to have all of your work done in a single visit. As an added precaution, Dr. Palani will give you a local anesthetic to the area that is being worked on to ensure that there is no pain. We will require that you bring someone to drive you to and from the office for your safety.
