Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide, also known as laughing gas, is the most common used form of sedation in dentistry. By inhaling the gas, the patient will then fall into a euphoric state feeling completely relaxed. Feelings of fear and anxiety melt away, allowing you to be at peace while your dental procedure is completed. This sedation allows the dentist to accomplish more work and often all dental work can be completed in one visit.

Nitrous oxide sedation is very safe. The nitrous oxide will wear off fairly quickly following the procedure and you will probably be able to drive yourself home and return to daily activities.
